OUR HISTORY
Incorporated in 1968 as MALLIKA HEMACHANDRA LIMITED and subsequently re-launched in 1997 as MALLIKA HEMACHANDRA JEWELLERS (PVT) LIMITED as the marketing company and HORTON EXPORTS (PVT) LIMITED as the manufacturing company.

The associate manufacturing company, Horton Exports (Pvt.) Ltd. is a new organizations launched with the signing up of the licensee to manufacture Walt Disney Jewellery. The latest Jewellery production factory is equipped with the most up-to-date Gesswein machinery from the United States of America. The techniques used on the above stated machinery is referred to as centrifugal and vacuum casting.

The company’s major function is manufacturing exquisite Jewellery for the export and local market. The local market is supplied through 6 retail outlets operating under the name Mallika Hemachandra Jewellers (Pvt) Limited.

The two companies have grown up to a permanent work force of approximately 115 employees.

HORTON EXPORTS (PVT) LIMITED


Incorporated in 1996 as an associate Jewellery manufacturing company of Mallika Hemachandra Jewellers (Pvt) Ltd. The factory is equipped with state-of-the-art Jewellery manufacturing machines using the vacuum and centrifugal casting techniques.

Managing Director

Chamindri Hemachandra , a Chartered Marketer with over 10 years experience in marketing brands at Unilever is personally involved with the full process of Manufacturing and Marketing.

Machinery

Powered with the latest Gesswein machinery from USA for vacuum and centrifugal casting. The machinery includes master mould makers, wax injectors, burnout ovens, centrifugal and vacuum casting machinery, ultrasonic cleaners, plating equipment, Jewellery finishing tools and equipment, polishing, machines & computers.

Training

Approved by the Ministry of Vocational Training and Rural Industries we are able to train persons for the Jewellery manufacturing production process.

Capacity

Currently we produce approximately 2000-5000 pieces between 3.00-10.00grms at approximately half capacity. We have the capability of producing up to 10,000 pieces or more per month at full capacity on a 8 hour shift. We have a number of selected local Jewellers for whom products are manufactured by us.
